Description
CTR2-Duo includes a touchscreen display that doubles as a control surface offering virtual Dials and Buttons that allows you to easily change the frequency and settings on your radio. The Dashboard page brings all of the controls to a compact, easy to navigate control page.
CTR2-Flex firmware has a built-in keyer and sidetone. CTR2-Flex firmware does not support SmartLink. For remote operation with SmartLink you can boot it into CTR2-Dial firmware* and use it as a MIDI controller with SmartSDR for iOS/MacOS.
All models support CW paddle input so you can connect your CW paddle to operate CW over your network connection. The CW paddle input jack can also be used for a straight-key (or external keyer) and a PTT switch.
NOTE: Keying operation with CTR2-Dial firmware is dependent on the radio control app’s support for paddles, keying, and PTT.
The knobs on CTR2-Duo are detent (bumpy) type because these knobs are typically used for volume, squelch, RIT, and DSP control. Each knob can be assigned to a separate Dial functions. The build-in pushbuttons on each of the knobs can be assigned to two Button functions when using short and long-press button actions.
NOTE: The M5Dial has a built-in 12-detent encoder that is not counted in the knob count but it can be assigned a to dial function.
* This unit ships with CTR2-Flex v2 firmware. This firmware can boot into CTR2-Flex or CTR2-Dial. The firmware boot option can be selected in the Settings menu.
