USPS has changed the way it handles international shipping costs. Please see my post here for more information. I will invoice you separately for shipping, duties, tariffs, and taxes.

This upgrade kit is an ideal solution for those that own older CTR2-Dial or CTR2-Flex hardware and want to upgrade to the CTR2-Quad. It’s also a good option of international customers wishing money on shipping costs, duties, tariffs, and taxes.

With four programmable dual-function knobs, two programmable dual-function pushbuttons, and separate jacks for CW paddles and your key and PTT switch, you’re sure to find the Quad to be the most useful accessory in your shack.

This is an upgrade kit for those that either want to supply their own M5Dial, or swap the M5Dial from an existing CTR2-Dial or CTR2-Flex unit to the new CTR2-Quad. Assembly is required! You can find the assembly manual here. This kit includes the 3D printed enclosure, assembled main and paddle jack PCBs, cables, knobs, switches, rubber feet, and hardware required to build a complete CTR2-Quad unit using the M5Dial that you supply. You will need to mount your M5Dial, install the main PCB, install the paddle jack PCB, connect everything together with the enclosed JST cables, and install the base plate. Be sure to upgrade the firmware on your M5Dial with the latest CTR2-Flex/CTR2-DialĀ firmware. You can find the assembly manual here and the firmware here.

Description

Once you upgrade your old hardware to a CTR2-Quad you’ll have a touchscreen display that doubles as a control surface offering virtual Dials and Buttons that allows you to easily change the frequency and settings on your radio.

CTR2-Flex firmware has a built-in keyer and sidetone. All models support CW paddle input so you can connect your CW paddle to operate CW over your network connection. The Dashboard page brings all of the controls to a compact, easy to navigate control page.

CTR2-Quad has a separate 3.5mm (1/8″) stereo jack to connect your straight-key (or external keyer) and a PTT switch.

The three small knobs on CTR2-Quad are detent (bumpy) type because these knobs are typically used for volume, squelch, RIT, and DSP control. The large knob is a no-detent (smooth) encoder because it’s typically used for VFO control. Turn and push-and-turn actions on each knob can be assigned two of the Dial functions. The build-in pushbuttons on each of the knob can also be assigned to two Button functions when using short and long-press button actions.
