This update includes the latest feature additions to CTR2-Dial firmware.

There is a separate operation manual for CTR2-Flex firmware. You can download it here.

  • Starting with v2.04.00 I’ve split the hardware descriptions out into three separate manuals:
    • CTR2-Uno
    • CTR2-Duo
    • CTR2-Quad
    • You can use the hardware manual for CTR2-Uno and CTR2-Duo for the older single and dual-knob CTR2-Dial and CTR2-Flex hardware.
  • You can download the CTR2-Flex/CTR2-Dial firmware here.

MIDI Mapping

I’ve created a YouTube video explaining the process of mapping CTR2-Dial’s controls to the app’s functions. You can watch the video here.

App Map Files

You can also download map files that you can import directly into your app to configure the MIDI commands to app functions. Currently maps are available for SmartSDR, SDR-Control, FT-Control, and Thetis.

CTR2-Dial Map Files

I also have a few map files for CTR2-Dial. These must be loaded using the Import option in the Settings menu. You’ll also need to use Tera Term or another terminal that supports the XModem transfer protocol in order to import these files into your unit. If you don’t have a terminal program that support XModem is really easy to just edit the labels in CTR2-Dial using any terminal program. For more information on this watch the video above.

There are two files for each system. The enc1 files are for single-encoder units and the enc2 files are for dual-encoder units. You can actually load either then just change the # Knobs: setting to match the number of knobs on your unit.
