All CTR2 MIDI controllers (running CTR2-MIDI MIDI firmware), must be configured to match the MIDI map of the app they are controlling. Typically, you’ll need to configure both the settings in the CTR2-MIDI and the MIDI mapping in the 3rd-party radio control app you are controlling with your CTR2-MIDI.

Each of Marcus’ (DL8MRE) apps come with a basic map for the CTR2 Controller in the Tools menu, but you’ll need to edit these maps to match your CTR2-MIDI and your preferences. Thetis doesn’t come with any pre-mapped MIDI controls. You’ll need to map these yourself.

While you can import settings into CTR2-MIDI using the Import Settings from a PC option in the Maintenance menu (requires XModem), it’s easier to just edit the mapping directly with a dumb terminal. 3rd-party apps have a map import option. Importing app maps are covered in the CTR2-MIDI Operation Manual for MIDI mode. You can download it here.

Click the Download button below to download a zip file containing a collection of 3rd-party app files and spreadsheets with the mapping detail if you want to edit the CTR2-MIDI configuration and 3rd-party app’s maps yourself.

These files should get you started. Feel free to make changes to your configurations to fit your operating style.
