Description
CTR2-Flex firmware does not support SmartLink. For remote operation with SmartLink you can boot it into CTR2-Dial firmware* and use it as a MIDI controller with SmartSDR for iOS/MacOS.
CTR2-Uno includes a touchscreen display that doubles as a control surface offering virtual Dials and Buttons that allows you to easily change the frequency and settings on your radio. The Dashboard page brings all of the controls to a compact, easy to navigate control page.
CTR2-Flex firmware has a built-in keyer and sidetone and supports CW paddle input so you can connect your CW paddle to operate CW over your network connection. The CW paddle input jack can also be used for a straight-key (or external keyer) and a PTT switch.
NOTE: Support for paddles, keying, and PTT in CTR2-Dial firmware depends on the capabilities of the radio control app you are controlling.
The large knob of CTR2-Uno is a no-detent (smooth) type because this knob is typically used as a VFO control. Turn and push-and-turn actions on the encoder can be assigned two of the Dial functions. The build-in pushbutton on the knob can also be assigned to two Button functions when using short and long-press button actions.
NOTE: The M5Dial has a built-in 12-detent encoder that is not counted in the knob count but it can be assigned a to dial function.
* This unit ships with CTR2-Flex v2 firmware. This firmware can boot into CTR2-Flex or CTR2-Dial. The firmware boot option can be selected in the Settings menu.
