The US Postal Service (USPS) as recently increased domestic shipping rates again. I’ve had to adjust my flat rate for domestic orders accordingly.

They have also recently changed the way they handle international shipments.

Previously, duties, taxes, and fees (i.e. “landed cost fees”) were collected by the post service in the destination country. This was done before the package was delivered and often caused delays.

Recently, USPS has negotiated with several countries to collect these fees from the shipper (i.e. me). As you know, these costs can be substantial, and my shop has no way of calculating them when you create an order.

The shop will charge a flat rate shipping fee for all orders, depending on the destination address. For international orders where I am required to pay the additional fees, I’ll send you a separate PayPal invoice for the actual international shipping cost and fees (minus the flat rate from the order), once I create the shipping label and have the final shipping costs.

I hope this makes sense. I know this is inconvenient for both of us, but it is what it is.
